Raluca de Soleil’s practice spans across free verse, photography, video, performance and abstract expressionistic painting, with many poems having been born while looping songs or soundtracks.
Her debut collection of poems explores early life disconnection, its causes and consequences. Moving image is used to summon affective memories of a pre-disconnection state while proposing an intuitive approach to healing.
Through performance, Raluca aims to create a space where the viewer can be emotionally honest, acknowledge personal-political trauma and discover alternatives to the oppressive structures inhabiting our minds.
