Press release

The S1 Studios Takeover is a series of projects featuring new work from and led by, current S1 Studio Holders. It includes group and solo exhibitions, public talks, residencies, workshops and events, offering audiences an insight into the range of work and practices currently being produced at S1 Studios, alongside opportunities to meet with many of the artists taking part.

Loukas Georgiou, Philip Lee, Marina Marinou, Jack Weller, Jessica Heywood, Raluca de Soleil, James Clarkson, Charlotte Dawson, Ben Morris, Norman Anderson, Fine Arts Bridge Scheme (FABS)

The takeover series will also include an interim exhibition by the 2019/20 Fine Art Bridge Scheme (FABS) bursary holders. FABS is an annual programme that supports graduating artists at Sheffield Hallam University to nurture new talent in the city. Delivered in collaboration by S1 Artspace, Site Gallery, Bloc Projects and Museums Sheffield, bursary holders receive mentoring, access to studio space and opportunities to work closely with Sheffield arts organisations to build experience and networks across the city’s visual art community.
